The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) was established as Education Trust Fund (ETF) by the Act No 7 of 1993 as amended by Act No 40 of 1998 (now repealed and replaced with Tertiary Education Trust Fund Act 2011); for the purpose of rehabilitation, restoration, and consolidation of Tertiary Education in Nigeria. The main source of income available to the Fund is the two percent (2%) education tax paid from assessable profit of companies registered in Nigeria. The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) collects the Tax on behalf of the Fund.

To collect first hand information via effective communication with TETFund and provide feedback.
To perform any other TETFund related activities as may be directed by the Vice-Chancellor or Management.
To monitor and evaluatethe general performance of TETFund interventions in the University.
To create awareness about TETFund conferences/grants/interventions in the University
TETFund intervention in Research is designed to stimulate the culture of originality of research endeavors in our tertiary institutions. This is with a view to enable scholars and researchers generate results that should be turned into marketable inventions. The TETFund research awards are of two types namely, National Research Fund (NRF) and Institution Based Research (IBR) with different modalities for selection and awards. The National Research Fund Committee of TETFund administers the NRF which has a funding limit of fifty million Naira (N50,000,000.00) whereas the IBR which has a funding limit of two million Naira (N2,000,000.00) maximum per project is handled by the respective Institutions.
